P&O Ferrymasters earns BRC foodstuffs approval

Two key offices at leading pan-European logistics provider P&O Ferrymasters have been awarded British Retail Consortium (BRC) global standard for Agents and Brokers (A&B) for the distribution of chilled, frozen and ambient packed products and food packaging materials.

P&O Ferrymasters earns BRC foodstuffs approvalIn January and February this year, two-day audits were completed in each office to evaluate compliance for certification. The audit reports were verified before the certificates were issued in early April.

The certificates apply to the Dover foodstuffs office and Amsterdam foodstuffs office and are an addition to the BRC Storage and Distribution certification for the company’s own reefer fleet.

Group quality & audit manager Frank Hesketh, who headed the project team, said: “Certification to BRC’s Agents & Brokers standard meets the requirements of all our current clients and will enable us to further develop our foodstuffs carriage and food packaging activities.”

The certificates demonstrate P&O Ferrymasters competence and quality in delivering distribution services to the foodstuffs sector.
